I didn’t start Clench to follow a fitness trend;it came from frustration.
With over 20 years of training in bodybuilding, powerlifting, and athletic work, I’ve always carried resistance bands in my gym bag since high school. They’re not a substitute for weights but a tool that offers unique benefits.

Most band setups were flimsy, uncomfortable, limited, or clearly not built for real strength training. As an engineer, that drove me nuts. So I started designing what I wanted to use myself — equipment that could handle serious load, feel good to train with, and dramatically expand what bands could do.
That mindset led to the first Clench handle. Then the footplate. Then the bars. And eventually, the Carbon Pro system.
Clench isn’t about replacing free weights. I still train with them every day. It’s about using the best tool for the job — and combining tools when that produces better results. Bands let you customize resistance curves, train at higher velocity with less joint stress, and work in directions gravity alone can’t. When you design the equipment properly, that opens up an entirely different level of training.
We over-engineer everything on purpose. Not because it sounds good in marketing — but because this equipment is meant to last, grow with you, and actually hold up under real use. No gimmicks. No miracle claims. No “10 minutes to a perfect body” nonsense.
